Progress Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is an amazing exercise anyone can do. The gist is to mindfully contract and release individual muscles or muscle groups to help you release stress and reduce tension. The experts (click here) do a better job of explaining it. Suffice to say, I am a fan of PMR and often use it while sitting in my desk chair or while laying in bed if I’m having trouble sleeping.
